Getting Involved

There are many opportunities to serve in meaningful ways here at Our Savior. We encourage all our members to be involved as they are given opportunity. Give us a call to find out how to get involved in any of the following events.

Growing in the Word throughout the Week

Growing in Relationships

    7UP Group: The 7UP Group is a youth group for students in 7th grade and up which meets on Sunday mornings for Bible study and also joins in many activities throughout the year. These are planned by youth, parents, pastor, and teachers.

    Under Fifties For the 21-50 crowd. Every now and again we get together for food, beverages, fun, and fellowship. A good time for singles and couples. Activities for children are planned.

    Fifties Plus Anyone 50 and over is invited to participate in the outings (melodrama, mountain retreat, ball games, musicals, dinner theatres, movies, service projects, etc.) We get together for fun and fellowship.

    Quilting Meets monthly in the church basement for all those who are interested in quilting together. Come if you like to quilt or would like to learn to quilt! All levels of quilting skills are welcome. We make quilts for Lutheran World Relief. We also do personal quilting projects. Quilting education is also done with guest teachers. We also have all day quilting events.

    Stamping, Scrapbooking, and Paper Crafting Dress up your memories, make cards, and other paper crafts while having fun and learning with others. Open to beginners and advanced. We also have all day events- you can make an entire year's worth of greeting cards in one day!

    Gardening Living in Wyoming makes gardening challenging- we need all the support we can get! Join us as we tour gardens, get dirty, and have fun!

    Exercise & Care Focusing on taking care of the physical body the Lord has given us.

    Book Discussion Do you like to read, but also like to talk about it? Join us as we read popular novels and discuss them as a group.


Women In God's Service (WINGS)

    Lydia Circle Lydia Circle meets on the 2nd Monday of every month. They are responsible for Palm Sunday palms, Good Friday Prayer Vigil, Easter lilies, Christmas poinsettias, Ladies Christmas Luncheon, the Confirmation Reception among other things.

    The Altar Guild The Altar Guild learns about the altar, paramonts, and other sacristy care. They set up communion, change banners, clean up after the Lord’s Supper, and provide general care for the altar area.

    Rebekah The Rebekah ladies group is involved with community activities. They visit rest homes, the hospital bound, and the congregation’s shut-ins. They also organize the prayer vine to enable the congregation to better follow prayer requests and answers received from our Lord.

    Hospitality The Hospitality group is responsible for organizing Sunday cookies, funeral dinners, wedding receptions and other events.

Joyful Noises

    Instrumentals and Solos If you play an instrument or sing like one, we would love to have you beautify our worship service with your talent!

    Choir Choir rehearsals are held Thursday evenings. Come, bring your voice, and contribute to the joyous music that is a special part of our worship services. All members are welcome to participate.

    Hand Chimes If you would like to “make a joyful noise” without using your voice this may be the opportunity you have been waiting for. Anyone interested in being a part of this choir will be welcomed. Rehearsals are held on Thursdays evenings.

Leadership and Boards

    Thanks to the dedication and talent of our elected leadership, Our Savior is able to provide quality programs and services. Are you good with numbers? Event planning? A handy man? Marketing? Chairing meetings? Whatever your gift, consider being open to the leadership roles that are available. One typically serves 2 years on a board, with elections and appointments occuring yearly.
